database of terms that are searched in the search engines?
Don't forget, Overture are still serving some sponsored sites on MSN which
means they'll also be counting all of the MSN searches and reporting on
their keyword traffic as well, unless they have some exclusion in their deal
that doesn't allow Overture to do that. Actually . . . that's fairly likely.
Also worth noting that Wordtracker uses InfoSpace owned properties,
metacrawler and DogPile, to aggregate search keywords and volumes.
IMHO these tools - WordTracker, Overture Keyword Assistant and Googles
AdWords Keyword Tool - are all useful for refining content, tags and other
stuff to use keywords and phrases that users are actually searching for when
they want to access your product/service.
