My current site has very good location and is visited daily by search engine
spiders. I also have another site that is just a hobby. I would like to
get search engines visiting my hobby site and want to put a link to it from
my current site but I don't want it be visible (for various reasons). Would
I be penalized by search engines in any way if I did this Link ?

I would not put hidden elements into a page on a good working site. You
might get the page banned or zeroed.

If it is a company web site, how about adding a page featuring links to the
personal hobby web sites of staff etc? It is nice to find companies that
appear to be made up of real people rather than corporate robots.

really will display nothing, no markup, nada.
visibility:hidden on the other hand will.

Re: No Display Link

you could disguise the link as an advert, banner?
Or perhaps put "in association with"

i dunno.
Its unlikely you'll get banned/penalised for hidden links.
