I have an existing (fairly new, about 3 months old) site, that has a
PR4 on Google. For various reasons, I want to change the URL of the
site. Example (not the real domain):
Existing URL: abcdefg.co.uk
New URL: uvwxyz.co.uk
Would it be best to:
a) simply have uvwxyz.co.uk as an extra domain pointing to the exact
same webspace using httpd.conf - so that the site comes up as either
b) set up a new website hosting account for uvwxyz.co.uk- upload the
site to it - then set a 301 redirect on abcdefg.co.uk
c) Some other way, please elaborate!
I am loathe to do anything that Google will take exception to, so if
anyone has any comments I'd love to hear them. Thank you very much
for any views on this.
