The above one should be indexed, as it's this search engine's homepage.
... should _not_ be indexed, as it's a result of this search-engine and
I feel it clutters Google.
So how do I disallow Google just from this page when it's got a query
I was thinking of putting this
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">
... into the file whenever it has a parameter. But I don't want to risk
the page itself (index.php) to not be found in Google. Anybody can help
Re: Meta or robots.txt for query only
That's a rumour. But go check yourself. Enter inurl:php-id into Google
and see the 2 million URLs. There's a whole lot of IDs indexed, so
Google has no problem at all with it (and why should they? because some
people use this as session IDs? Well, a whole lot of people don't).
Anyways, thanks, I'm still hoping to figure out a way...
