I am wondering what to do about this.
I have a site who wants to put their products on froogle, but the products
are dynamic web pages and the only way it seems I can access the product
page is to pass a variable (the prodict id number) to the search form. This
works but there is a problem with the session id variable. It does not work
if you don't pass this variable (cartid). but if you make one up, the next
visitor who follows the link gets the same shopping cart data because they
are assigned this static cartid. What to do?
Re: how to submit products from dynamic web pages to froogle
Can it not be set up to create a new cart/session if one does not already
exist? Also, could the code which creates the cart/session be set up to
create a new one if the session is too old (eg 4 hours of inactivity)? That
way any that appear in Froogle should belong to an old session, assuming
you keep the session length short enough.
There is also the possibility of using cookies instead of session variables
in the get string but I am sure there are people who have good arguments
