customer appeal higher rankings within their search results. So how
do you do that machnically?
- You develop some kind of ranking based on popularity
- You measure keywords and related keywords within the site and
- You have some type of html validator/triggers to ensure that the
page displays well/load fast to consumers.
Given these tasks, it is important that you have a well designed page
from a consumer prospective and that your site is appealing for links.
Specific numbers of words really depends on the type of site. Online
stores may have a 1,000 or so words (see Amazon) whereas, a search
engine may only have 20 keywords.
However, if you have an excessive number of bytes of data on your home
page, 300k or more, spidering may drop (spidering process timeouts)
your page before the spider in complete.
