I have owned a mail order catalog for years offering religious
articles/New Age type products. Recently I have started to promote my
website. Today I had a demo with a Hitwise sales person. The amount of
info. one can obtain about successful competitors through Hitwise is
impressive. I can definitely see it strongly influencing my marketing
efforts... However the price of the service is around $25,000 a year.
WOW. I'm wondering if there are less expensive alternatives to access
their info. Perhaps hiring a SEM consultant who subscribes to Hitwise.
And then obtaining the info. needed through the consultant. (Presumably
would be cheaper than the cost of a Hitwise individual subscription
because the consultant's Hitwise subscription cost would be spread over
his client list.) Any thoughts on this or Hitwise in general would be
most helpful. Thanks, Steve Denver, Co.
