I am going to post my site to Comcast's free storage space, with my url
forwarded to it.
Is there a hit counter software I could use to monitor traffic without
having to subscribe to it.

Still learning

If you check with your ISP, you'll probably find that they can provide you
with server logs - they contain masses of useful information in addition to
the number of "hits". You can look at them in Notepad - as long as there
aren't too many - they'll probably be in a zipped format so you'll need to
unzip them. If you're getting more than a couple of dozen a day, you'll need
something like Webalizer to summarise the results.

If you feel that any of the above is incorrect,
inappropriate or offensive in any way,
please ignore it and accept my apologies.

there are couple of others you can find by querying google for websta
counters or similar. You only get a small file size, but its good i
