Woo! Google instant search shaved a third of a second off my search time
this morning! I haven't decided what I will do with my spare 3rd of a
second. Do you think I could possible complete a nasal plucking task in
that time? Too many choices.
Seriously, what are everyone's takes on instant? It's OK and everything
but it is pretty worthless IMO. Pretty much google shaking its arse
feathers in a display before continuing to stick it to Bing.
Some people are saying on WMW that it's another nail in SEO's coffin.

This is a quote from Mr Cutts:
Q: Will Google Instant change search engine optimization?
A: I think over time it might. The search results will remain the same
for a query, but itís possible that people will learn to search
differently over time. For example, I was recently researching a
congressperson. With Google Instant, it was more visible to me that this
congressperson had proposed an energy plan, so I refined my search to
learn more, and quickly found myself reading a post on the
congresspersonís blog that had been on page 2 of the search results.
A lot of people are complaining about drastic traffic drops since it
went live. I don't know if it's because google is bypassing some of the
longtail queries with instant or not.
I know that my own traffic was already down before instant was live and
it being live does not seem to have affected it further. So far...
