I have what I believe is a simple site structure query.
Lets take my site structure as it currently is:
This has links to its various sections down the left:
With the news section, the homepage, www.domain.com , has links to the
latest ten news stories, which site here:
This exact story is also linked to from here:
news.domain.com and the story is displayed on
So, both www.domain.com and news.domain.com have snippets and links to news
stories, essentially duplicated content.
Both www.domain.com/news-story.html and
http://news.domain.com/news-story.html will be identical when reading the
Will Google get "pissed" with this approach? I am not trying to rank two
different areas, just the way my site structure is designed at the moment.
