Re: Cloaked page, Deceptive redirects, Doorway pages
What most people mean by a cloaked page is actuslly a cluster of
pages. If the robot from Google comes to call, it gets a page
optimised for Google. If a robot from Yahoo comes visiting, it gets a
page optimised for Yahoo. If you or I pay a visit, we see a different
page again. All the pages contain basically similar information on the
same subject, but optimised differently.
A deceptive redirect would be if someone clicked on a link expecting
to see a picture of Kylie in her knickers and was instead directed to
a page advertising ther virtues af ball-bearing manufacture. I'd hate
A typically badly bult doorway page, the kind that got them a bad
name, would have the same keyword rephrased over and over and over and
over. Kylie, it might say. Kylie and Kylie and Kylie and Kylie, Kylie
in her knickers, Kylie in her underwear, Kylie on the beach. But when
you find it, guess where it leads? Yup, those same, tired old vistas
of ball-bearing manufacture.
SEO you could cuddle. Probably..
