I have noticed on MSN that there is a major change in MSN Alogo.
It has started giving emphasis on "URL" names. and the Title as usual.

I have created a new page and name the url with the Keyword and this
page came in top ten result.

Does Any one know abt this change.......
Plz see this on MSN, it may happen that I have missed any critical

Thank You

Are you stating that there is a change to MSN's algorithms (with an
exclamation mark) because you put up one page and it came up in a top of a
single SERP? whichever SERP this may be, we don't know how competitive it
is because you gave no details.

If you said that you _changed_ an existing URL of an existing page and it
rose up to the top of its targetted SERP, wouldn't that be a more valid

Re: Change in MSN Algo !

Hi ,

According to my analyzation that after the dispute among the search
engines... its shows different results on different search
if u read Google algo then you will not get good ranking on MSN and
same in yahoo.

if you try to generate traffic through yahoo then Google will be more
far from your reach.. and this is fact, so you to decide from where u
have to drawn traffic.

MSN Algo is more simpler then Google and Yahoo.

The concept you described for page name urls with the name of your
targeted keywords is not a new thing its excepted by others too..

I don't think that's 100% certain. Lately for my primary keyword my main
webpage has been between 3 and 7 across Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

I want to say above that if the person optimize the website for Google
then there are most of the chances that the ranking on the other search
engine like MSN and Yahoo would not that much good as comparison to
Google as the search engine Algorithm of the MSN and Google differs a
lot..their algorithm stands exact in opposite  faces means if Google
faces in east then MSN will face the ranking in west...

That is all above i analyzed on my end from last 3-4 months.

If you concentrate on good, general optimisation then you can get good
results on all of the major search engines, and your sites tend to take
less of a hit when major algorithm changes come along.

The engines change all the time, so optimising for one in particular
doesn't mean those methods will work even for that single engine long-term.
