- Am I creating duplicate content on my Blog?

My question is: I put the articles I write on my front page which is
my default category "General language learning" , however, I also
place the same article or blog post to the right under another
category, such as "Language learning and music" I do this for
organization, so if people want to browse a topic they can, but also
many people just like to scroll down the first page of a blog.
But does this create duplicate content?
Maybe not? ""general language learning page has everything" while is
the category pages are crawled it will look different to search
engines as they contain a different pattern of posts.
For SEO purposes is there anything I can do to improve the layout of
my blog? Should I add outbound links? Should I stay away from this
as not to dilute PR? Should I get ride of the permalink area. Put h1
on a blog etc if this is possible? Should I have a separate category
every day I post, as I think each category will be a page? Any other
ideas? I am trying to make this a non spammy clean intelligent
language learning blog as there is so much junk out there.
