In our Google AdWords campaign settings, we're given the following option:
Show ads on Google and the
[X] search network
[X] content network [?]
I've read all the help associated with this choice but it hasn't told me
what I want to know, which is this: since 1 Aug, we've payed £485.83 on
content network advertising, as opposed to just £246.10 on search
network advertising, but what kind of ROI are we getting on the content
The sites that display the content advertising seem very US-centric but
we're a UK company and our customers are typically from the UK. Also, we
develop and sell vertical market software and the people who need it
will be expressly searching for it, so I suspect this kind of content
network advertising is a complete waste of money.
On the other hand, adwords has been working OK for us so far so I'm
reluctant to "break" anything :)
Can anyone help me out or point me to some good resources to make an
informed decision here?
