I have one website with 3,065 pages spread across 16 subdomains. On 5th and
14th July Google reported 1,290 (45%) cached pages despite active spidering
of the whole site by GoogleBot. Some of these pages were badly out of date.
Today the number shot up to 7,050 pages (230%), despite the fact that there
are only 3,065 pages on the site. A closer examination showed pages that no
longer exist on the site were still in the cache, and pages that had been
broken down into smaller sections were available both their earlier long and
later short forms.
Is anyone else experiencing the same oddities?
