We no longer use a third monitor, however the computer retains the memory of
this. When the computer is restarted, the icons run off the screen as they
are looking to lodge onto the third screen and the computer is slow trying to
find it. In the display properties it says that the 3rd monitor is the
default. There is no 3rd monitor. When we change and apply a reduced screen
resolution this fixes the problem but each time the computer is restarted it,
the problem returns. In the USB port where the third monitor was connected is
now a device that has extra usb ports. Not sure if that's related. Also the
last time this problem occurred was when the computer was taken overseas, has
happened again this time. Can't recall how it was fixed last time. Our IT guy
has no clue how to fix it and has put us off for the time being.

Thanks to anyone with ideas!!!

Kind regards
Kylie Rose :)
