Ron doesn't seem to have posted to alt.sci.planetary (or sci.astro)
since 08 Dec 2007, but 30 later posts from him can be found in the
moderated group sci.space.news, of which I reckon 26 would usually have
been seen here: for example, the following four about the Mars rovers:

I've no idea whether this is a temporary issue, or represents a change
in policy, and if the latter whether it's been prompted by small local
matters or bigger issues (copyright?).

In any event, it's Ron's (or his employer's) right to decide whether and
where to post, so it seems we may have to read sci.space.news to stay up
to date.

I hope regulars in alt.sci.planetary will continue to follow-up with
relevant comments to this group. I can't imagine that most of the
follow-ups we have made in the past would have been particularly
relevant to the nominated follow-up group, sci.space.policy .
