can I assign ringing tones to all the contacts in a certain category in my
i-mate smartphone as in Nokia phones?

Hello Ahmed,
You can easily assign custom ring tones for a specific contact on Windows Mobile 5.0. On your phone,
navigate to view yoru contacts and select the specific contact. Press the 'edit' softkey and the
sixth field within edit should allow you to specify a custom ringtone for that contact.
