Hi all.

I've got some services turned off on my pc, and it killed activesynch. I
can browse files, but inbox, contacts, and calendar don't synch.

Problem is, I can't seem to figure which disabled service is the one killing
it. Anyone have a comprehensive list?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi,
There is no known comprehensive list of services required for ActiveSync.
If you find out which service causes it to stop, please let me know. I'd
like to document it for other users.

Chris,

The magic bullet was "DCOM server process launcher." WIthout it, you can
synch file & favorites but not inbox, contacts, or calendar. Without DCOM
on, every MS Office app also starts up with an annoying "the document could
not be registered" popup, so I supect it was more an error communicating
with outlook than between activesynch & the pda.

Best,
Steve
