Sounds like you are trying to write to a CD-RW disk that has not been
formatted for packet writing. Or a CDR and you have no burner software or
maybe you do not have a Burner drive installed in the computer.
The error message simply means that Windows does not know what to do with
the disk you have in the DVD/CD drive. CDs are read only if they are not
writable disks in a burner drive.
You also may not have CD Writing enabled in Windows.
To enable CD writing in Windows, Open My Computer, right click the DVD/CD
drive, Properties. On the Recording Tab check Enable CD recording on this
drive.
Only check that box if you do not have any other Burning software installed,
Nero or Roxio.
The above applies only to Windows XP or Windows Media Center 2005
