Please log in for more thread options Even if the answer is "yes", you need to consider asking more questions.
If this system supports dual channel memory (not sure if it does or
not), then you could get memory which is compatible with the computer,
but which is not dual channel compatible with the exiting memory. If
that happens, the memory and the computer will work ... with 1GB of
memory ... but you will lose the advantages of dual channel memory
operation (which can double the effective speed of the memory system).
IF that laptop supports dual channel memory, then you need to install
two memory modules that are architecturally identical to get the most
from the upgrade.
