hi all

had a really annoying problem with the built in alarm clock on my qtek
8020(it would go off at 08:00 even though it wasnt set on!!) so i have
had to resort to hard reseting the phone.

unfortunatly doing this i have lost all the pre installed vodafone
software,GPRS setting and logos and stuff !

ive set everything back up, but the only annoyance i have is when i
boot hte phone now i have lost the operator logo ie vodafone?? all i
get now is a white screen with a round circle saying operator logo.

im assuming that this is the default logo that vodafone would replace
with theres !

is there anyway of changing it please?

thanks in advance

Hi Andy,

I've encounterd simelar problems with my Qtek 8080. One time I took it from
the docking station the phone went black and started up again, but...... all
the data was gone. And with data I mean all the stored contacts, sms and
e-mails, files, mp3, tomtom navigator settings, and so on. And the most
anoying thing was that I couldn't enter any settings-menu to change anything
(somekind of error message apeared) or connect with Activesync.
After a quick call with service center of Qtek in the Netherlands there was
an apoinment made to repair my phone and within 1 week I got it back, no
charge :-)

My opinion about smartphones is that they need a lot of time to make a
proper working device (hard and software)
