Hi I just set up my first HTPC. Using media center.
Everything works, but I would like to know what kind of video quality
should i expect when recording?
The reason i ask is that even when i record HD channels like OASIS the
quality seems low.
If I play a dvd with the system the picture is very nice(DVD quality).
Should I expect at least dvd quality when recording, because right now
i am only getting quality like a regular analog channel.
I have set up MC in best quality. Just changed my s-video connector to
a super high quality silver wire+++.
My specs are
CPU = AMD athlon 2500+
Video card ATI 9600 connected to tv via VGA
512m memory.
Like mentioned to view dvd the quality is real nice therefore should't
be a video card issue.
Also is there any way to stretch MC to take up my whole 50" tv screen,
I can't get passed 1" black border all around. The Satellite takes up
everything.
TIA
