We have an sbs 2003 network with isa server. We had a smartphone configured
that has worked fine with outlook mobile access and active synch - this
phone has been upgraded and we now have the following problem:

On the smartphone, under active synch, menu, config and server...the server
address is set to the external ip address of the exchange server (the one
used for OWA) - we are not using ssl.

Under settings and connections, the proxy server is also set to the external
ip address.

On the pc under active synch, the only proxy setting that will work is the
internal ip address of the server.

With these (obviously incompatible) settings, the smartphone will synch over
gprs. The only way to get it to synch when docked is to change the phone
settings to the internal ip address of the server for the proxy settings.
The error received is 85010008 - proxy incompatible with device - but I
can't change the phone settings to synch over gprs with the internal ip
settings.

Seem to have tried every possible setting on the phone and pc but with no
luck!

Thanks
