problem with browse to iis

problem with browse to iis headache with p 05-23-2007

when i browse to iis(with internet connection) from my pocket pc , everything
is working fine.

But when i disable the internet connection on pc(running iis), ppc can't
browse to iis anymore.

is that the requirement to have internet connection to browse iis from ppc?
or any other solution to fix this problem?

Hi,
You are using the PC's connection when you browse from the Pocket PC while
ActiveSync is connected. So when you disable the PC's network connection it
distrupts the Pocket PC's connection as well.

dear Herrera,
why do i need internet connection on pc??? i'm just trying to browse the
site hosted on that pc's IIS.
or is there any other way i can browse to IIS on pc (without internet
connetion?)

Hi,
When you bring down the network it prevents access to the internal sites as
well. This is because the services run on the public IP.
