Updated to latest version of MSN Search, and the problem has shifted: now
when I click on an item to preview it, I get a dialogue box asking me if I
want to open or save the mhtml file.

But before I have the chance to choose an option, it automatically launches
IE (not my default browser) - which opens with a URL like so:
C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\me\Local%20Settings\Temp\MSNL\ABC123.mhtml
but the page is blank.
Nothing appears in my MSN Desktop Search preview pane.
I'm more and more convinced it must be something to do with security
settings...
