How can I prevent a user from deleting files in a shared folder on Win03?

 Garry:

Best thing to do is to set security on that folder so the user only has
special permissions. In the special permissions, you can give them
access to all functions except Delete. Personally, I prefer to create
global group, give permission to that group, then make the user a
member of the group. That way, maintenance is much easier. Hope this

I guess something is inadequate about using a grant of Read or Read/Execute?
Granting write without delete makes an unforgiving drop-box, if you mean to
prevent all delete. You can use a grant to Creator Owner to allow them to
correct/destroy what they originate. (see how C: is done)
