hi all!
since the default share permission for the group "Everyone" is set to "Read"
in win2003server, i would like to change it back to the
win2000server-setting "Full Access". but how and where? where can i find the
group or object "Everyone", for a start? (same for the group/object
"Anonymous Logon"). and where can they be edited?
or whereelse can i find and change the necessary settings? are there any
related group policies? i could not find anything under "Domain Security
Policy" or anywhere else, please help!!

I don't know of a way to do such and in my opinion it would be a bad idea
anyhow. You should always review the permissions of any share you create
anyhow in the properties of the share where you can edit permissions to your
needs. You won't find everyone and anonymous in the local users group or in
AD Users and Computers but it will be available when you are configuring
permissions/rights. --- Steve

Please log in for more thread options You should be able to apply this reg file and reboot and it should be all set.
You will need to correct the permissions on any shares already created, you can
use something like subinacl or rmtshare to do it.
