My smartphone tells me No map when I download pocket street maps into My
documents folder, as it ask for.
Same with Start Up folder. Both with maps downloaded from pocket street on
net,
and maps created by AutoRoute. Map format is 'name.mps'.

what to do ?

My Documents should be an OK place to put your maps. Does Pocket Streets
open? Have you tried the Menu, 6 Maps, item to see if it is just a first
time thing? Do you have a File Explorer to navigate to a .mps map and have
it open Pocket Streets? Does it try, or does it say no application
associated. If no app associated, then there must be some issue with the
file association. Possibly try re-installing Pocket Streets.

You didn't mention where exactly you store the map,

do you store it on a mini SD card? or are you trying to store in on the
device itself?

Streets has a problem with teh Mine SD devices. The device must have the
card installed to be able to use the Open map feature, otherwise this error
occurs.

if you choose to NOT have a mini SD card, and you transfer a map to the
device, the only way to open the map is to use File Manager. You will only
be able to use the map in this way.

this is a confirmed bug in Pocket Streets with teh Mini SD devices
