I have a plasma TV with a resolution of 1024x768 but an aspect ratio of 16:9
which means the pixels are not evenly spaced verticaly vs horizontaly. MCE
seems to assume that all display devices have evenly spaced pixels so I am
left with the need to change the pixel aspect ratio. Well this is easily
done in WMP 10 through Options/Devices/Display Properties and then changing
the horizontal to vertical ratio to 1.25. This works great but this setting
does not cary over
when movies are played through the Media Center UI even though I assume it
still uses WMP. How can I make the Media Center play the same pixel ratio
set in the WMP? There is no menu for it, maybe someone knows of a registry
entry or other solution.
