I need to do an SSI include in my PHP web page located on a Unix web
server, but cant seem to get it to work.

Please advise.

You can use this:

    <?php include('http://server.test/page.asp ') ?>

Another option is to use cURL (

Apache's SSI doesn't support cross-server includes.

SSI will not work in served php because the server won't parse your document
twice.  It would be a very lame idea anyway because you can do whatever you
want SSI for with php alone.
