rate this thread
from google charts. The production server is firewalled from the
internet, so I need to configure php to use our internal web proxy.
I've done a bit of googling and the answer seems to be to use the curl
However the function that is calling out to google is inside another
library (fpdf) which in turn is using fopen. Hacking that so that all
the requests use curl will be very messy.
Is there a way to configure php to use the proxy at the application
level (e.g. in php.ini?)
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Proxy settings
Not that I am aware of.
And go down to where some 'how to open with a proxy' code has been
submitted. You will need to hack a little to get that working.
Have you got source of the fpdf stuff? if so change th call to fopen to
say 'fproxyopen' and hack a function to do that as per those man pages.
fsockopen(proxy, port) followed by fputs("GET remote-site etc etc")
followed by a load of fgets, should pull the page you want.
