I've totally hit a brick wall and I've checked the numerous (some
helpful) tutorials in making a php link search engine friendly but the

I just don't know how on earth to make it search engine friendly?
Any advice would be greatful, I'm a relatively new php coder but it's
driving me insane :)

When you do not want to use GET variables to refer to a specific site,
you can link to something like this:
Then parse the $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] variable within that script.
Do not specify the title in a link.
