The basic game plan with the script is this, when a person enters the page
they are a "guest". When the guest logs in, I will have a simple text file
that will be checked and approve the guest as being registered.
What I want to know is, how can I set this up so that when the guest is
approved, the table will simply be hidden from view? Without having to
create an entire new page for the checking.
<form action='index1.php' method=post>
<td>User Name<input type ='text' class='bginput' name='userid' ></td>
<td>Password <input type ='text' class='bginput' name='password'
<td><input type='submit' value='Submit'> <input type='reset'

Re: Passing a variable to the same page
element an id
<table id=loginTbl> ... </table>
document.getElementById('loginTbl').style.display = "none"
which may or may not simplify your PHP code.
