There are lots of examples on how to do that *everywhere* you look :)
I suggest you start with the very fine PHP manual:
and for your immediate needs dealing with a database
Replace <your_db> above with your (possibly abbreviated) database server
name (for instance: "MS SQL server" should be "mssql"; "Postgresql"
should be "pg"; ...)
Or, if you've already been through the fine manual and your code does
not do what you expect, post the code, the errors you get (if any), your
expectations, and the actual result. Most certainly somebody here will
point you in the right direction.
