say i have an email address. email@example.com then im registered on a
site. i have an alias email add there: firstname.lastname@example.org then when people
send their emails to email@example.com, it will be redirected to
how do i do this? and whats the proper term for this feature? thanks

Mail aliases is a good term. It's a feature provided by mail servers (such
as sendmail, postfix, exim...); nothing to do with PHP, unless you want to
implement it using PHP :-?
