Japanese / English text

I have a class file which contains Japanese and English text, but the
Japanese text is only displayed as ???. When I save it in Dreamweaver
I get an error message that the encoding cannot save all the
document's characters. It tells me to change into UTF-8. Any
suggestions how I can save it correctly? In Dreamweaver I already
selected UTF-8 under preferences->new documents, so I would have
thought that it should be working fine.

many thanks

I don't see any PHP question here.  Did you ask in DreamWeaver support?

That's an option for future documents. You still have to convert
previous documents, don't you?

You also need to make sure that your web server is sending the correct
Content-Type header. There're several ways to do it; in PHP you use the
header() function:

header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8');
