I get the following error when I click on the Back button on my
"Web page has expired". I would like to know the cause for this error
and how I may correct it.

Nothing to do with PHP.  It means your browser thinks its cache of that
is out of date.

The message usually explains what causes this - it happens when you move
back to a page that was the result of a POST operation. In order to show
the page again, the browser would have to send the same POST data again,
which might cause problems and security issues. Hence the message.

You can easily avoid it if you do a redirect to the same page after the
POST data was processed. Send back a 302 status code using the header()
function and the current URL, so that the browser will fetch the same
page again using the GET method. Now when you come back to that page
again later, you won't get the "expired" message anymore.
