I am trying to create some html with php and the double quote
character is somehow changing to \"

This renders some html useless.

Is there a work around here.

Re: email

Quoted text here. Click to load it

Here is a simple example.

I start with this text in a form:

<table bgcolor="yellow" align="center"><td align="center"><font
color="blue"><b>Some text here<br>
more text</b></font></td></table><br>

and write the contents of this textarea to a webpage and to an email.
In both cases it becomes:

 <table bgcolor=\"yellow\" align=\"center\"><td align=\"center\"><font
color=\"blue\"><b>Some text here<br> more text</b></font></td></

Where do all of those "\" characters come from?

Search in a PHP manual for: magic_quotes_gpc
It is probably set to "On" on your server.

Possible solution: get_magic_quotes_gpc + stripslashes
