we've just released a new version of Ice, with nice new goodies and
even better performance. Here is the official announcement. Enjoy!



PS: For those not in the know, Ice is a middleware platform
     similar to (but far better than) CORBA. Have a look at

I put "ANNOUNCE" in the subject to clearly mark the post
as just that, and I kept the post short -- people who want
to know more can use the web. I think Ice is relevant to
this group because it includes a PHP plugin.
