Open the two photos in two instances of your photo display program,
Right click the Task bar, select Tile Windows Vertically.
To go back, right click task bar, Cascade Windows.
Irfanview, a free viewer can be configured to display two photos side by
side.
You just resize the windows to fit side by side.
