does anyone know how to set off multiple timers that will run multiple
functions/threads at the same time from a single script?

Please explain your needs more clearly.

Are these timers supposed to be in separate threads, or are they
supposed to create threads when they fire, or what? Why do you think you
can't do what you want with just one timer?

In general, a given process can only have one timer running at once; for
OSen such as Linux which implement 'thread' with 'process' this means
you can have one per thread. If you say which OS you are using you may
have other timer facilities available which allow you to run several
timers from one thread of control.
