don't have access to the production server, only the development
server, and in addition I don't even have shell access on that machine.
I'm hired as a consultant so to the IT department I am a "potential
security risk." (More like a potential job risk if the compan ever
finds out how useful they are, but I digress).
So though I both know how to hand install and use CPAN I can't do it
myself. And it shouldn't be necessary either, I'm pretty sure this will
work, but when it comes down to it you never totally sure until someone
else double checks.
You shouldn't just asssume the person asking a question is too clueless
to read the docs ;-)

What are you talking about? Give an attribution and quote some context
when you reply to someone. At least, make your posting a followup
to the one you reply to, so people have a chance to re-construct the
