Perl and Windows 8.1 (64bit)

On my Windows XP SP3 Laptop, I installed (in 2009)
and tK version 804.027
I have about 200 Perl-programs, 51 of them starting with "use Win32"

I would like to switch to a new Windows 8.1 laptop, install
ActivePerl 5.16.3 for Windows (64bit)
and continue to use my existing Perl-programs.

Is that possible?
Would I just have to change "use Win32" to "use Win64" ?

You won't even have to do that. There is no 'Win64': 64-bit perls use
the Win32 module to access the Windows API just as 32-bit perls do.

Note also that just because you're running 64-bit Windows you don't have
to run a 64-bit perl. 32-bit perl runs perfectly well, and may be
better, depending on your workload.
