want to use a new naming scheme(new class hierarchy) and want to remove all
traces of the original module installations and then reinstall with new
names. I could just do a manual deletion
of /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/MyModule but suspect this is not enough.
In particular I remember one time stumbling upon a file (can't remember
which) that contained a history of installed modules.

Here's what I received from David Wheeler when I asked the same q:
CPANPLUS::Shell::Default documents that the "u" command should do this.
