recently I bought a Palm Tungsten T and wanted to upgrade from my Palm
Pilot Professional while preserving all data. The data of the builtin
programs (e.g. my adressbook) must be copied to the Tungsten, best
would be if added software would be migrated too.
Could somebody guide me how to do this? I didn't find the supplied
documentation very helpful :-(
When installing the new desktop software on my Windows 98 the old
version was detected. The installation procedure aborted with the
warning, I must deinstall the old software first (which cause a loss
of all data...).
USing a temporary installation on another Windows 98 machine, I have
noticed that the file format has changed, so I expect a mere copy of
the current databses for addresses, tasks etc. wouldn't work.
Could anybody give me a hint how to do it?
