I'm having a problem with my palm m500 and Windows XP.
I had a setup with Outlook 2000 and WIndows XP running with a
Synchronisation software called PocketMirror.
Due to some software trouble I had to format my Harddisk and re-install
XP and all software. I decided to quit using Outlook and switch to the
Palmsoftware instead. I Installed Palm Desktop, but HotSync just won't
work. I really have no clue why.
At some point my computer realized, that a USB-Device was connected,
when I pressed HotSync on the Palm, but couldn't identify it. I
re-installed Palm Desktop, because that was recommended in a user
forum, but now XP doesn't react AT ALL, when I press HotSync.
I've spent a few hours already working myself through all the Palm
Troubleshooting pages, but with no result.
If I can't HotSync my Palm, it really becomes worthless.
Anybody have any idea?

Zire is not connected and powered on when the PC boots, it will not be
