First time poster here. I bought a Palm V machine off eBay and I want
to use for scheduling only. I use Eudora for email and Outlook for my
scheduling (calendar, to-do, notes, etc). I don't really need/want to
sync my mail. I have a PC with Windows 98SE OS.
I've tried reinstalling the Palm desktop software a couple times, with a
couple different options. I select that I have Outlook (it's version
2000) when asked. When I skip the mail portion of the installation, I
get errors when I sync that say it cannot find the mail client (during
the scheduler sync).
I've also configured the Palm desktop software to NOT sync the mail.
Doesn't seem to help, it always seems to try to sync the mail and then
it gives errors when syncing the rest.
So...I reinstalled the software and installed the mail part, and that I
have Eudora 3.0 or higher (it's actually version 5.1). I had to change
the MAPI setting from Never Use to Always Use. Outlook didn't like that
and gave me errors, however, the hotsync did sync some of the mail. It
then failed on the rest of the items, just like before.
How do I make it skip the mail part of the sync? Are there any sites
that have this sort of information?
