Palm Conflict Notifier

I am troubleshooting the following Palm Error Message:

A conflict in the installed conduits has been detected.
This is caused when two different conduits are using the same PIM data
type (e.g., address book vs. contacts).
To allow synchronization to proceed, use the Hotsync Custom dialog to
change one set of conduits to "Do Nothing"

I welcome any suggestions.

Some newer Palm (LifeDrive, T5...) use a conduit named "Contacts",
whereby the older ones use "Address book". You cannot use both
simultanously. Refer to your manual to know which one you have to use
with your Palm model. Use the Hotsync custom dialog to switch one of
them off.

Thanks Laurent, I'll give that a try and post my finding tomorrow

I got this error recently when trying to sync my T5.

To make a long story short: some cruft was left in the registry of my
Win98 system from a previous install of the Palm Desktop and it thought
that I had multiple conduits - even though Hot Sync only listed "Contacts".

I ended up wiping the registry and reinstalling Windows.
