brightness level. I have mapped Bloff to one of the buttons. However,
it doesn't behave as I was told it would. Instead of an increase in
brightness on each launch of Bloff, the first four have no effect at
all but the next three do give an increase in brightness. I have tried
this in total darkness, so I am sure that the first four presses do
not turn on the backlight. As the last brightness increase appears to
be about as bright as the lowest normal brightness level, effectively
I only have two additional low brightness levels. I was hoping for
seven which appears to be the number of steps in the cycle.
I was wondering if other users of Bloff have the same experience or
maybe it is just specific to my machine.
I haven't tried using a button to run it, but using the normal stylus taps
gives the expected results on my Zire 71. You might also try Silkdimmer,
which lets you use the standard slider, but lets you slide the brightness all
the way down to completely off.
